Hilton Head-Dafuskie Interconnect

Project consisted of installing (1) 6” steel casing from Hilton Head Island to Dafuskie Island. This was accomplished in one continuous directional bore across a portion of the Atlantic Ocean and the Callibogie Sound. The bore was approximately 5000 feet long and was installed at a depth of 130 feet below the water surface. The bore was navigated via the Para-Trak system in combination with magnetic beacons. The bore was within one foot of the proposed exit point upon completion.
