The project consisted of a bore across the Folly River along side of HWY NC 171 in Charleston, SC approaching Folly Beach. The specifications called for the use of 14” SDR 9 DIPS HDPE (16” O.D.). Due to the compound curves within the planned boring profile, we chose the HDPE. The bore was approximately 2400 long at a depth of 90 feet across the waterway. The bore was completed on schedule.
