Drill Tech was contacted to assist in the repair of broken utilities under the Grand Fountain/Ice Rink. The project consisted of directional drilling new insulated water lines and communication lines under the fountain to repair lines that broke the prior year. A specialized excavation was performed deep through the center of the fountain to which the lines were installed. The challenges of this project were complex due to the preservation of the historic gardens and the intense security involved whenever working in a highly protected government institution.
